Best planners in Charleston

We hired Caroline Bean at Engaging Events after having changed our original wedding planner due because we had to postpone our original wedding date because of Covid. I have experience working with another Charleston-based planner and in the process, I’ve interviewed close to a dozen planners in the area. Engaging Events (EE), in my opinion, are THE best. I highly recommend working with Caroline. She is so organized and thinks of absolutely everything. My original planner basically sent us a PDF with recommended vendors and told me to chose some. She also always first suggested the most expensive vendors (bands, etc). Caroline with EE never did that. She worked with me to choose vendors and made helpful suggestions based on price and style. EE does their own flowers in house, which is actually amazing. They give you a great rate on florals and you don’t have to worry about interviewing and finding a florist you like. My original florist for the 2020 wedding quoted us over double what we ended up paying for our 2021 wedding with EE. And the flowers were so perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
EE worked with us to design a beautiful theme for the wedding and table design. It came out even better than I had imagined. They thought of every detail.
On the day-of, they were so helpful and made sure that everything went accordingly to plan. I didn’t have to worry because I knew they were on top of everything.
Honestly, having worked with a more expensive and less competent planner in the past, I’m actually grateful that our wedding was postponed due to Covid. Thanks to our postponement, we ended up working with Engaging Events, and our wedding turned out to be better than I could have imagined AND we saved money in the process. They are really outstanding – go with Caroline at Engaging Events!!

Absolutely Amazing!

We loved working with Engaging Events for our wedding!! Truly we do not have enough good things to say. Cindy helped bring our floral and design visions to life with her ability to decipher my abstract thoughts and random pinterest pins and Caroline kept our wedding plans on track with humor and grace despite being derailed by a global pandemic! Throughout the entire process we always looked forward to our meetings with Engaging Events – they kept us sane, focused and excited for our big day. On our wedding day, we received so many compliments from guests on our florals and the overall vibe that Cindy created. Our guests were in awe of how professional and personable Caroline was – in addition to how she kept the entire day running so smoothly! We could not have had a more perfect experience or wedding day!

Amazing Experience

Caroline and Cindy are simply the best in Charleston! Friendly, patient, and extremely organized, they perfectly executed my husband and I’s vision for our big day. As a bride who was the first of my family and friends to wed, I was very intimidated by the process of planning. Engaging Events eliminated all of the stress with their expertise and their genuine support leading up to the wedding. Caroline & Cindy at Engaging Events were exceptional. They partnered with us from the very beginning to bring our vision to reality. The service was white glove from day one and on top of it all they helped us navigate the challenging and stressful postponement caused by the pandemic. When the day finally came it went absolutely perfectly, without a single issue to speak of to which we give them all the credit. Engaging Events MADE Our Wedding!

Once our venue had been chosen and reserved, I needed to hire a wedding coordinator and my husband knew JUST the one! Caroline Bean, a family friend through church who works at Engaging Events 🙂 The first time I called their office and asked to speak to Caroline, she was available and could not wait to help us plan our special day! Even in the midst of a global pandemic where social distancing and mask wearing had been required, Engaging Events jumped right in to help us make a plan – AND a back-up plan. Between meetings, phone calls and emails, both Caroline and Cindy were available and responsive. Both ladies are VERY ORGANIZED, they and their team pay attention to detail and MOST IMPORTANT they CARE about meeting the wants and needs of each and every bride and groom! Our wedding reception at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant, SC was more beautiful than I had imagined! The bouquets and floral arrangements took my breath away! Thank you, Engaging Events, for all of your hard work – the celebration of our marriage came together PERFECTLY!

These ladies are true professionals! Our wedding was pushed back 6 months due to Covid with quite a few unexpected changes along the way and they welcomed it all with optimism, kindness and support. Our family and friends are still taking about the gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquets they arranged and the personal decor details that were so very important to us were represented with the thought and love we intended thanks to Engaging Events. I’m truly sad I don’t get to work with these talented woman any longer since the wedding is over!

Perfect Wedding Day

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and it would not have been possible without Cindy and Caroline. Our wedding was supposed to be in May 2020, but got postponed to November due to the pandemic. I could not imagine dealing with all of the changes and rescheduling everything without Cindy’s help. She always made time to talk through details or things I was unsure about. She goes above and beyond to make the wedding planning process as smooth as possible. There were so many details that I never would have thought about and it was incredibly helpful to have the experience of Engaging Events on our side! Cindy has a decorative eye and everything looked beautiful on our wedding day. From the florals to the linens and décor. It all was perfect. Cindy and Caroline made our dream wedding come true, even in the midst of a pandemic, and we cannot thank them enough.

The Perfect Choice

Choosing Engaging Events was absolutely the best decision we made in planning the wedding(s). We learned with my first daughter’s wedding (4 years ago) that Caroline and Cindy are completely invaluable! They are very responsive, they gently guide you through the entire process, and above all, they smile and remain calm at all times, even during a pandemic! These girls are ON IT!! They really are amazing at getting in your head and making dreams come true! I cannot imagine going through this process with out them by our side. Did I mention the florals? Oh my gosh, absolutely the most gorgeous arrangements and bouquets….just dreamy!! They absolutely know their stuff!! Both my girls think they had the best weddings ever, what more could a mother hope for for her daughters! Look no further…Engaging Events is the one!

Dream wedding

I cannot say enough great things about Engaging Events. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is so difficult and I can’t imagine being able to do it without both of them by my side. They took my all over the place vision and turned it into exactly what I wanted and so much more. Not having to worry about finding a florist and having them also do the florals is soooo nice. Not to mention I don’t think anyone does florals better than them. They are truly invaluable and I can’t thank them enough for creating my dream wedding!

Absolute perfection! I found Engaging Events through my venue and I could not have been more thrilled with them. From my first conversation with Caroline I knew I wanted her and the team to be the ones helping me make the big day perfect. I explained how I’d worked in the industry and therefore would notice when things were off, I explained I was finishing law school and would need to be studying for/taking the bar exam so all planning needed to be done well in advance, and they beyond delivered. When Covid hit Caroline was there to assure us everything was ok especially since we live in another state. On the day of everything was organized and handled professionally and without us having to do anything other than smile for the camera and move from place to place. If you are looking from a team that will beyond succeed your expectations and be there for you when things potentially get tough, this is your team. On the floral side, Cindy did amazing work! My flowers looked incredible and they even accommodated my wanting to attach my grandmother’s rings on my bouquet which made it extra special for me since they are no longer with us. For those brides that aren’t familiar with the area they also help with choosing great vendors, so really they are the best team any bride and groom could ask for!
