So What’s Included?
The Cedar Room, located in Downtown Charleston, SC, is a beautifully appointed event space that is perfect for weddings. The room features natural wood floors, exposed brick walls, plenty of natural light, and soaring ceilings that give the space a warm and inviting feeling.
The room can accommodate up to 300 guests and comes complete with 300 Natural Wood Chiavari chairs, (30) 60” round tables, (10) 6’ and 8’ rectangular tables, (10) 30” or 36” tall cocktail tables, and (1) custom built-in bar. Glassware, service ware, flatware, and china are also included in the rental price.
The room also has two 6’ wood chevron satellite bars that are available for rent, although they can only be used indoors. The Cedar Room is a great choice for couples looking for an all-inclusive rental space in Charleston to host their wedding.

For Ceremonies & Rehearsal Dinners
The Cedar Room can also host your Wedding Ceremony and even your Rehearsal Dinner for your Charleston Wedding. With a capacity of 150-180 seats (depending on the floor plan), it can accommodate both small and large ceremonies. And with its beautiful courtyard, you’ll have an outdoor option for the ceremony or cocktail hour. The Cedar Room’s chairs cannot be brought outside for a ceremony, but may be rented through one of our preferred vendors: Eventworks, or Snyder Event Rentals.
Ceremony Rehearsals must be scheduled with the venue manager between 30 and 90 days prior to the event date. The Cedar Room is an excellent location to say “I do” with all of your family and friends.
A Wedding Planner / Event Coordinator Is Required
All weddings held at The Cedar Room must be coordinated by a professional event planner who is licensed and insured. Also, they must provide full-service or partial-service planning services. The Cedar Room staff is not available to coordinate rentals, linens, or floor plans unless approved by the event planner. If a client fails to use a professional event planner, they will be charged an additional 30% on their total invoice.

A Meeting Is Required
Your wedding coordinator will attend a meeting thirty days before your event with the Cedar Room Catering Manager to go over the floor plan, presentation, rentals, timeline and vendors. After your event is over, an on-site manager will do a walkthrough with your planner to check for any damages or extra clean-up that may be needed. Engaging Event’s team is always the first point of contact for the venue’s team and the last to leave the event to ensure that everything is in order!
Parking & Transportation
After 5PM, guests may park in the Cigar Factory lot. This lot is shared with other building tenants and has 150 parking spaces. Matt Hall at Coastal Valet can coordinate valet service for groups larger than 250 guests. On-street parking is also available in the surrounding areas.
All vendor trucks and staff working the event are required to park on the street or in a designated lot. The Cedar Room cannot be held responsible for any damages or theft that may occur to cars left overnight in the Cigar Factory parking lot. They recommend that you make other arrangements for your vehicles if you plan on leaving them overnight.
