Lindsay and Andrew’s winter wedding at The Historic Rice Mill has been featured on The Wedding Row! Andrew participated in the Charleston Firefighter Calendar for the Charleston Animal Society. (He was Mr. April) These two love birds ended up meeting at a fundraiser for the calendar release party. Sparks flew and 4 years later, Andrew proposed to Lindsay under the northern lights in Iceland. So romantic right?!
We wanted to share a few of our favorite details from their big day with you. Click the photo below to see the entire wedding!
- Greenery, greenery, and more greenery! Flowers were never really important to Lindsay but, she knew she wanted greenery. We used six different types of greenery to create the look Lindsay was going for. There were a few white flowers sprinkled in but, very sparingly. Our favorite touch has to be the greenery garlands that framed their altar at the ceremony. They were stunning!
- Pretty paper! As you know, we are obsessed with stationary. Dodeline Design helped us to create a unique stationary suite that complimented her wedding colors (grey, white, green) and brought in the greenery element in as well. Our favorite piece is the liner with the fern detail on the inside of the envelope.
- This may throw some of you off but, they had no wedding cake! In lieu of a wedding cake, guests could design their own ice cream sandwich. All of the guests really loved this idea and it was so much fun! You could choose one of the three ice cream flavors and their were a variety of yummy toppings.
- The bridesmaid’s dresses! We loved that they decided to all wear different shades of grey. Plus all of the dresses were a mixture of styles. To complete the look they had greenery bouquets with white and green ribbons trailing down.
