I think I am seeing blue:)…….Last week I met with two of our clients for this spring and summer- both are using blue in their color palette. The interesting thing about blue- is there are so many shades, and so many different emotions all these different blue shades can create. Our April Wedding clients, Katie and Chad, are using navy blue and light blue (for those familiar with charleston also known as “Citadel” blue) and Ivory. The navy brings in that touch of formality that comes with a dark color and and evening wedding, the light blue adds that hint of spring, and the ivory is classic. Katie and Chad are too much fun! In the times we’ve met they are constantly making each other laugh – I know their families and friends are in for a wonderfully fun wedding and reception – just like the happy couple. Their wedding and reception are at Magnolia Plantation- they will be married on the lawn under the oak tree overlooking the Ashley River- the Carriage House and Patio will be the site of their reception. A few hints of unique elements to come….sweetgrass basket centerpieces, a placecard display that will have you seeing blue, and a cozy, comfy lounge and dance area that will be the hit of the evening.
Our second couple is Megan and Scott- they will be married in July at the Pavilion at Patriot’s Point. Their blue brings to mind tropical waters but in a cooling tone, they are pairing it with taupe and white- for a crisp clean look- but are also using elements that are very soft and inviting. Megan and Scott are super sweet and I know their wedding day will be filled with romance, and fun. A few hints at special touches for their wedding……with lighting, linens, and flowers we will merge soft and traditional with a few modern elements creating a summer evening to remember.
