It’s finally fall, and that means fall wedding season is upon us. So far all of our fall brides have had absolutely gorgeous flowers (pictures to come), but we’re here with even more inspiration for your fall wedding dreams! Here are five blooms that are so unique, you won’t want to miss out.

dahlias
As you can see above, dahlias can come in bright colors, but below we’ve included some photos of softer-toned dahlias. Softer dahlias are perfect to mix in with other bold fall flowers, and they come in different shapes. Dahlias are a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico and Central America. A member of the Asteraceae family, its garden relatives include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia. With 42 different species of dahlias, there are plenty to choose from!
Bronze football mums
Bronze football mums can be a very bold floral choice, however, when worked into a bouquet or arrangement, they provide texture and a gorgeous color. Mums, or Chrysanthemums are in the Asteraceae family. They are native to East Asia and northeastern Europe. Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China. Countless varieties exist, including bronze football mums and brighter shades of yellow (seen below).
Chinese Lantern Seeds
Chinese Lanterns are a very unique looking bloom that provide a soft, draping effect. Not only does it give the arrangement texture, but also a sense of movement. This species is native to Asia, and also grows naturally in Southern Europe. It is easily identifiable by the large, bright orange to red papery covering over its fruit, which resembles paper lanterns.
Bittersweet berries
Most people think of blackberries in the summer and holly berries in the winter, but what kind of berries go with fall? Bittersweet! Bittersweet berries grow on long vine-like branches that can be draped over just about anything! See them here on a chandelier and a free-standing candelabra.
Fiddlehead fern Curls
Fiddlehead Fern Curls aren’t for everyone, but for the right couple, they’re perfect! With a unique shape and texture, they’ll add dimension and a little something unique to any centerpiece or boutonniere. While they are visually unique, they are also edible when cooked properly!
