Engaging Events took all my dreams and helped make them come true while still keeping my budget in mind. Their communication is fantastic!

My daughter was married in Pawley’s Island, SC on May 31st which makes me the mother of the bride.  I searched for a wedding planner on the internet and found Engaging Events.  Engaging events is located in Charleston, SC and the wedding planner is Cindy Zingerella.  I thought there was probably no coincidence that her last name reminds you of Cinderella from the perspective of “happily ever after”.  I was looking for a boutique experience and Cindy was brilliant.  She was everything a wedding planner should be:  detail oriented, creative, a problem solver, politician, etiquette expert, counselor,  and always the ultimate professional.  She also had a good sense of humor which is quite welcome when things get a little tense.

One always wonders why they plan an outside event when rain threatens, but Cindy had every back up plan in place.  We experienced some minor flooding issues days before the wedding on the same spot that the reception was held.  She never alerted my daughter as to avoid any undue stress to her leading up to the big day.  I was confident that no matter what problems might present themselves, she would find a way to work around it to make the event a very special day.  Her vendors were excellent, and it was clear they loved working with her.  She was always polite, professional, and extremely organized. I expect that organization and attention to detail is a very big reason why the vendors enjoyed working for Cindy.  The wedding and reception were beautiful and captured exactly what my daughter had envisioned.  Cindy took her every consideration in to account as well as any input her fiancé had to create a match for them.  Her good taste was all that was required to bring it all together.

Cindy’s first loyalty was to the bride and groom but always respected whatever input I had or answered any questions that I had.  We also had some special issues with the family dynamics in which she was very helpful, and sensitive to the various players.  I would highly recommend Cindy as your wedding planner especially if you are looking for a day that is customized, and worry free.  It has been an honor and privilege to work with her.

It was the biggest pleasure and honor working with you throughout the entire wedding planning process, and I really hated that it had to end because you made every step along the way so enjoyable. I have so much respect for you and the work you produce. Your professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, creative vision, energy (!!!) and the careful time you spent on all aspects of our wedding is what set Engaging Events apart from other wedding and event planning companies. No detail was ever overlooked, and no task was undervalued or left unfinished. Everyone is STILL talking about our wedding, calling it the “most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to.” Your very talented staff helped everything go off without a hitch the day of the wedding. Much thanks to Jessi for all of her work on the wedding and hotel coordination as well (and for adjusting my veil and fixing my dress moments before I walked down the aisle!)

Most importantly, thank you for teaching and showing me that weddings are much more than simply ceremonies and receptions – they are personalities, fairytales, and representations of love and romance that are full of excitement and happiness. I literally had tears in my eyes when I left the wedding because I knew I would never again be in the presence of such a spellbindingly beautiful event and happy experience that could even come close to the one created for us.

You made our wedding magical and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for giving us that gift and special memory.

There are truly not enough words to thank you both for what you did the weekend of our wedding and the year leading up to our wedding.  You coordinated and helped us get through the best weekend of our lives and we are so thankful.  The wedding was SPECTACULAR in all regards.  It was so beautiful and perfect in every single way and not one detail was spared.  Garrett and I were so impressed with how smoothly everything went at our wedding and how amazing every vendor was and you truly cared that the day was just perfect for he and I.  Thank you all of your hard work, your efforts, your creativity, and your love for creating a perfect day for us.  We loved every moment and will treasure every memory our whole lives!

From our first communication you saw and understood our vision.  You went above and beyond every step of the way giving us guidance, bringing forth unique and amazing design ideas, and on the day of, you two handled it impeccably!  We had no worry in the world on the day of the wedding because we knew you had it!  This was one of the most important days of our lives and we are TRULY grateful to have had you oversee it to perfection.  A million thank you’s could not express what you did for our special day.  Everybody was so impressed by the entire wedding.  You guys are just awesome.  Thank you for making our wedding exactly how we dreamed it to be!

Cindy, if there were a real way to thank you for all your work, care and concern for my Katie’s wedding at Magnolia Gardens, I would do it. You worked so hard and it ran so smoothly. You were tireless and so so generous. I posted a small verse on Magnolia’s web site. Please know how very much you are appreciated!

Thank you for planning our perfect wedding.  Can’t really imagine the process without you, your guidance and organization, expertise and introduction to some great vendors.  It would not have been the same to say the least and it was fun to work with such great people.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My wedding day was so very special thanks to all of your hard work and attention to detail. The flowers were prefect, the dining room looked amazing, the cupcakes were delicious, and the mood of the event was joyful. I could not have asked for anything more. Your professionalism and grace under fire speaks volumes of your work ethic and the quality of your events. Please also thank Jessi for her hard work and last minuet veil recovery mission…I had no idea the veil was even missing until long after it had been retrieved–good stuff!

Thank you so much for all you did to make our dream wedding come  true.  It was absolutely perfect and we could not have asked for anything better.  We truly appreciate all your hard work and hope to see you again!

I’m not sure where to begin, we spent so much time together (12+months), that to just thank you for our wedding weekend wouldn’t be right.  So let me start by thanking you for your time, guidance, expertise, honesty, dedication and friendship though out this process.  You allowed us to put 100% of our trust in you and to know that our best interest was at heart, and that the wedding we were planning would be a reflection of Drew and I.  You allowed us to see a vision for our wedding that prior to meeting you wasn’t entirely clear.  And to say the end result was anything less than perfect and amazing would be an understatement   This was our dream wedding!!  Thank you so much for allowing Drew and I to share such a special weekend with our friends and family.  It just wouldn’t have been what is was without your magic touch.  All of our guests are still talking about how amazing it was…the food, venue, decor, sunset  the band, etc. all came together  for one perfect evening/dance party!
