Barb and Ricardo

Barb and Ricardo

William Aiken House

The Wedding of Barb and Ricardo took place at the William Aiken House- it was a much anticipated and wonderful evening.

Barb and Ricardo had originally planned their wedding for a Friday in April- and due to an illness

in the family- they had to postpone…so when their day finally came in June everyone was excited and happy.

The couple was married under the pergola; the aisle was framed with a custom aisle runner -with a pale yellow border.

The aisle chairs were fashioned with yellow lily clusters.

The Guests enjoyed dinner in the beautiful Wm. Aiken House ballroom and porches.

Elaine Mincey provided the wedding cake – which contained the happy couples new monogram;

pearl border; and a sugar magnolia topper.

We were so happy to be a part of Barb and Ricardo’s special day- they are a very romantic, fun loving couple

and we know they will have many happy years together!

We were so happy to be a part of Lanier and Kyle’s wedding! They had a gorgeous day and they and their families had a fantastic time!

Lanier and Kyle wanted to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere – with an organic and rustic yet polished design.

Their Wedding Cake- Created by Elaine Mincey- included Elaine’s beautfiul sugar magnolia’s for the taste of the South;

as well as a free form design in the icing keeping with the theme of a relaxed but  polished look.

One of the elements of the Ocean Course Lanier and Kyle loved best was its beautiful landscape and view of the ocean.

While they wanted a finished/polished look they didn’t want to take away from that relaxed and comfortable feel you get when on the veranda of the Ocean Course.

With Judy Johnston’s help (our florist) we created centerpieces of wheat, sand and moss mimicking the sea oats, sand and grass of its surroundings.

Guests were greeted by a placecard display in Engaging Events boxes filled with split peas and adorned with lanterns and candles.

For the Dinner, Lanier and Kyle chose sage linens, burlap runners, ivory napkins and ecletic budvases with a variety of blooms and herbs;

including-ranunculous, stock, peonies, garden roses, thyme, rosemary and basil. Mahogany chivari chairs helped in giving the room that polished look.

The tent was simple and elegant as well- utilizing Engaging Events crystal chandeliers,

sofa seating areas and a rented  mahogany dance floor from Eventworks- where they danced the night away under the stars.

We were so happy to get to know Lanier and Kyle’s families-

Many thanks to Candice and the Ocean Course staff for the fabulous job they do!
